"Travelers has given me every reason to take my business elsewhere. Despite having no accidents or tickets, upon renewal my premium increased by approximately $100 per month. That was frustrating enough. Then my automatic payment, which is deducted from my bank account on the 11th of every month without issue, simply never came out in June 2026. After spending more than 20 minutes on hold, I was told that Travelers had changed systems and that I would be double billed in July to make up for the missed payment. Apparently, correspondence was sent and agents were instructed to notify customers. I received nothing by mail or email, and because I purchased my policy directly through Travelers' website, there was no agent to contact me. It's unacceptable to make changes that affect customers' finances and fail to ensure they are actually informed. I shouldn't have to notice that a payment is missing, call customer service, wait on hold, and then be told that I need to budget for a double withdrawal because of a system change I was never notified about. After looking online, I found other customers describing similar autopay issues. That raises serious concerns about how this transition was handled. Insurance is built on trust, reliability, and communication. Travelers has fallen short on all three. I'll be taking my business elsewhere."

"Absolutely terrible experience with Travelers Insurance. They were quick to take my money but completely unreliable when it came time to honor a claim. My claim was denied with what felt like generic, scripted responses and zero real effort to help. Customer service is beyond frustrating — long waits, no accountability, and agents who seem more focused on protecting the company than actually helping policyholders. Every interaction felt dismissive and unprofessional. The entire process feels designed to wear you down rather than resolve anything fairly. If you expect support when something goes wrong, look elsewhere. This company has been a complete disappointment."

"Horrible! Experience! Zero communication ! Nobody ever picked up their phone ! People assigned to claim are useless! Adjuster didn’t inspect the car after repair! 5 weeks later and ny car has not been fixed properly! Money for claim went straight to mechanic and not me . Nobody called re: oem or aftermarket and if I’m willing to pay difference ! They approved crap parts that do not fit properly! Will be shopping for new insurance! These insurance companies need to be investigated! I will be reporting this nonsense to the state!"

"Our $3500 policy from 5 years ago went up to $9064 that was thankfully alerted by Truist Escrow. Competitor Farmers quoted $3150 on the property so we switched. After three weeks, I wrote about the refund, customer service stated yes they confirmed cancellation, but a billing system issue prevented checks from being disbursed.....criminal. No update as to when my $9000 is coming back."
